FRIENDSHIP CAMP
Join us Monday through Thursday all summer for an hour and a half of laid-back socializing, snacking, and activities with a different cool theme every week.
Each get-together will begin with a circle gathering. We'll check in, and each friend will have the opportunity to share whatever news, jokes, anecdotes, etc. they'd like. Then, everyone will be encouraged to participate in a group activity. One time, we may do comedy improv style games, or dramatic movement. Another time may involve some tai chi, yoga, or hip-hop inspired physical movement with music. We'll have drum circles and jam sessions, and include activities requested by the campers. We'll spend a little while socializing freely over snacks. Friends can choose to bring a snack or purchase Cool Snax (a serving of fresh fruit and natural chips or crackers plus a bottled water) for $10 a week. We'll finish up with a closing circle in which there is the opportunity to give feedback about the activities. We'll brainstorm on what positive thing we can take from our activities and apply to "real life". Last, but not least, we'll talk about what we get to do next!
These are small groups with a 4:1 ratio of young people to professional leaders with ABA experience and substantial teaching hours. The maximum group size is 8. How cool is that?!
